Yoga for Arthritis Workshop, Sun, September 10, 10:30am-12pm EDT, Ritu Kapur
Arthritis is one of the leading causes of disability in America. This two hour workshop will talk about how yoga can provide gentle and safe movement for all your joints with gradual progression. Ritu Kapur, OT, CYT will teach yoga poses for strength, balance and flexibility. Deep breathing combined with the poses will allow for increased relaxation and mindfulness which can help with pain management associated with Arthritis. She will be using chairs, blanket and bolsters as props to support the body and to make the poses comfortable for you.
